IT Business Analyst

Responsibility

Delivery of high quality and customer oriented IT Solutions within the Manufacturing and supply Chain area, and maintenance, support & continuous improvement of the existing systems within the Manufacturing and supply Chain area.

Manufacturing and supply chain covers 2 groups :

- supply chain : Material management, material ordering, order handling & shopfloor logistics

- Manufacturing : production, quality and engineering

Job description

• Is actively involved in projects within the Manufacturing and supply Chain application domain including development, integration of software/technologies, enhancements, implementation and support
• Works with the business partner in identifying project business value and provides direction for the business in creating multiple, interrelated functional specifications and their translation to IT design requirements
• Ensures technical inspections are performed at appropriate stages of development and provides technical mentorship to developers
• Ensures that appropriate security and controls are instituted (ICFR evidence testing, SCRP, ACR, ICR, audit follow-up)
• Ensures compliance with Volvo Cars IT architecture standards
• Ensures & applies appropriate use of Volvo Cars IT processes, tools and methodologies (VAPS, DITS, ODGF)
• Engages in continuous improvement programs in response to support service metrics, customer feedback and process efficiencies
• Creates application documentation including accurate support documentation for the support teams
• Coordinates, follows up and secures accurate testing in the appropriate areas
• Builds and maintains strong relationships with the appropriate customer base
• Establishes good workingship relations with Volvo Cars IT counterparts in comparable application domains

Profile

• Masters degree (Licentie Informatica/TEW Optie beleidsinformatica) or equivalent experience in a relevant field
• Experience in Business Analysis in either an IT or business role is an asset
• Experience in interpreting business requirements, recognizing impact on business
• Good analytical thinking
• Good knowledge of the supported business domain areas within Manufacturing and supply Chain
• Capability to build and maintain good business relationships
• Focused on delivering results based on agreed objectives
• Sociable, good communicating skills in spoken and written English
