You and your fellow graduates will go through development modules in several areas e.g. company culture, customer focus, self awareness, business acumen and leadership. You will also be assigned a personal mentor who will follow you throughout the three years and support your personal and professional development.

Manufacturing

Volvo Cars Manufacturing is responsible for the production of all Volvo Cars, including powertrain and body components. Production is based at wholly owned, as well as satellite plants and joint-venture units.

Volvo Cars Body Components specializes in forming and joining technologies for automotive body components in metallic materials, with production units in Olofström and Gothenburg. Volvo Cars Engine has machining and assembling of petrol and diesel engines in Skövde and production of brade discs, connection rods and hub units in Floby. The assembly plants are situated in Torslanda and Gent, Belgium. There are also plants in Malaysia and China.

In addition to the production units Volvo Cars Manufacturing also consists of Manufacturing Engineering, responsible for the technical processes within the units, and Material Planning and Logistics, responsible for material planning, logistic solutions and OtD process.

Requirements

A prerequisite for joining the programme is that you have achieved a Bachelor's or Master's degree, within the last three years, within Technique, Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Automation, Logistics, Industrial Economy or equivalent.

Other qualifiers are personal characteristics such as:

  • Good judgement
  • Business orientation
  • An interest and ability to lead individuals and groups

Language Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written Dutch skills
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills

Since Volvo Cars operates globally, it's an advantage if you have multiple culture experience.
